REPAIR INFO

How do I know if my board needs a repair?

The best way to know is to bring it to us! In our store coreshots are not considered repairs. Things like delaminations, cracked edges, and an edge hit where the teeth are pushing out of the base are considered repairs.

For the most part, our floor staff are aware of what we can repair but sometimes we do have to pass them along to our repair technician for confirmation.

What is the cost of repairs?

Our starting cost of repairs is $50 and goes up from there depending on size and difficulty. Most repairs, unless located on your tip or tail, require an essential tune to be done, costing $70+tax for snowboards and $80+tax for skis on top of the repair cost.

What if my repair opens again?

No repair is guaranteed!! Unfortunately with anything broken a repair does not mean it will hold forever. Just as the damage happened it can happen again, any repair spot on your equipment is weak even when repaired meaning if you hit a rock the right way it can pop open again. We are not liable for any repairs that do not hold.

In saying this there are cases where we will cover another repair free of charge. These cases are rare but sometimes the epoxy does not cooperate how we would like. This is at the discretion of the Repair technician.

Why do I need an essential tune with my repair?

When a repair is done the base is generally raised slightly, an essential tune involves a base grind which brings everything to one level ensuring there is no area that can be caught by rogue rocks, etc on the mountain. Whilst it’s not guaranteed it’s very rare we have an issue.

How long will my repair take?

All repairs have a minimum turnaround time of 5 days +.

We have 2 repair days. Our first run will be on a Friday ready for the following Wednesday. Our second run will be on a Monday ready on the following Saturday.

This turnaround time allows your equipment to fully dry before we go through the repair and tuning process and also allows time for any additional work if the epoxy isn’t up to our standards. Unfortunately, this does mean if you drop your equipment off on Sunday you will not receive it back until the following Thursday, meaning around 11 days without your equipment.

In saying this please do not ride your equipment with open areas! This causes more damage which can mean the job can’t be done, it can cost more or take longer. We understand it may be a long time to wait but unfortunately, that is the nature of a good repair.
